Why is the PNG file bigger than my WebP?
PNG is lossless, so it stores every pixel, while WebP uses stronger compression. A bigger file is normal, especially for photos.
Can I convert animated WebP files?
Only the first frame is converted, because a still image cannot hold an animation.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels, which covers photos from phones and most cameras. A file that takes longer than 2 minutes to convert is stopped so the page stays usable.
