Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to our server or anyone else.
Are table columns split into separate cells?
No. Each line goes into a single cell in column A. To split it, select column A in Excel and choose Data, then Text to Columns, with a space as the separator.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
No. A scanned PDF is a picture of each page with no text inside, so there is nothing to copy. Save the page as a JPG or PNG and use the Image to Text (OCR) converter instead.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not while the password is on. Open the PDF with its password, save or print an unprotected copy, then convert that copy.
Which apps open the .xlsx file?
Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice Calc.
