-
03
Download the resized files
Each file keeps its format and gets the new size in its name, for example photo-1200x800.jpg.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your images are never sent to our server or anyone else.
How do I keep the proportions?
Resize by percentage, or fill in only the width or only the height and leave the other empty. With both filled in, Keep aspect ratio fits the image inside that box; turn it off to get exactly that size, stretched if needed.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes, up to 400% or 20000 pixels a side, as long as the result stays under 100 megapixels. Enlarging cannot add detail, so a bigger image looks softer.
Does resizing lower the quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp, because each step halves the size at most. JPG and WebP are saved again at a high quality, and PNG stays lossless.
Is EXIF data kept?
No. Re-encoding removes EXIF metadata such as camera details and GPS location, which is handy before you share photos online.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels, which covers photos from phones and most cameras. A file that takes longer than 2 minutes to convert is stopped so the page stays usable.
